Day1:
Upon Arrival at Delhi you will be transferred to the hotel. Afternoon half
day tour of New Delhi.
Day 2:
After breakfast we visit Old Delhi including the textile markets of Chandni
Chowk.
Day 3:
After Breakfast we have an early morning transfer to the railway station to
connect with the shatabdi express to Lucknow. Upon Arrival you will transfer
to Hotel. Afternoon visit the weaving centre of 'Chicken Kari'-the famous
textile of Lucknow embroidery mostly local design using white thread upon
very fine cotton. Also visit the self-employed women's centre-famous for its
hand embroidery.
Day 4:
After breakfast transfer to the Airport for flight to Varanasi. Upon
Arrival , meet and transfer to the Hotel. Afternoon walk through the bazaar
of Varanasi a heaven for the rich merchant wholesale markets for brocade and
benarasi Sari.
Day 5:
Arise early morning for a boat ride on the river Ganges to see the sunrise.
Morning city sightseeing tour of Sarnath- the Buddhist city. Afternoon visit
the brocade centre where you can see the weavers at work, weaving pure gold
and silver thread knit silk textiles.
Day 6:
After breakfast your morning is free to walk around the city. Afternoon
transfer to airport for your flight to Agra.
Day
7:
After breakfast proceed for a half-day tour to the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.
In the afternoon we visit by coach to Fatehpur Sikri and then continue to
Jaipur and check in at hotel.
Day 8:
After breakfast a morning sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Also walk in the
local Bazaar to see the colourful textiles 'Bandhani and Leheria'. In the
afternoon after lunch visit the nearby villages of Sanganer and Baagru where
we will see the villages at work, fascinating art of Tie and Dye, Bandhani,
Block Printing with wooden blocks and the art of hand made papers.
Day 9:
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Udaipur. On
arrival you will be met and transferred to Hotel. Afternoon city tour.
Day10:
After breakfast a morning excursion to Nathdwara known for its pigment
printing textiles depicting lord Krishna. Return to Udaipur and in the
afternoon we take you on an historic boat ride on Lake Pichola.
Day 11:
After breakfast leave Udaipur for Ahemdabad by Coach. Arrive and check in
at Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour including a visit to the Calico Textile
Museum.
Day 12:
After breakfast we visit the nearby villages including the Sharyas Folk
Museum. In the afternoon we visit the National Institute of Design.
Day 13:
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Bombay. On
arrival met and transferred to Hotel. Reminder day free to explore Bombay.
Day 14:
Today is free in Bombay until your transfer to the Intl.I Airport for your
flight to your next destination.
