Refund & Cancellation


In regard to refund of unused / unutilized services (which are paid for and cancelled in advance) the refund amount would be worked out on the basis of cancellation policy as described and the money would be accordingly refunded to the person who has made the payment to us. Please note that the refund process may take 2 - 4 weeks due to banking procedures. If the refund is made to the credit card account OR to Bank account, the bank charges would be debited from the refund amount.

Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure: 
In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows :

  • 60 days & prior to arrival - 15% of the tour/service cost.
  • 59 days to 30 days prior to arrival - 25% of the tour/service cost.
  • 29 days to 15 days prior to arrival - 50% of the tour/service cost.
  • 14 days & less, prior to arrival or no show - NO REFUND.

Air/ Rail packages and air/rail tickets are subject to cancellation policies imposed by the airlines.


Cancellation Policy for Hotel Reservation Only

We understand that sometimes, even with the best of intentions, the best laid plans go awry. However from the time that you make your booking your reservations are held for you. We ask you to please understand that, should you cancel your hotel reservations, you may be charged a cancellation fee. This is not applicable on certain black out dates due to high season / festivals and major events being organized in the city.

Cancellation fees are as follows:

  • Cancellations received after the payment was done and hotel confirmations will incur a cancellation fee of 10% of full hotel cost as administration fee plus credit card charges if applicable.
  • Cancellations received from booking until up to 45 days prior to check in will incur a cancellation fee of 20% of full cost.
  • Cancellations received between 14 & 29 days prior to tour check in will incur a cost of reservations as cancellation fee.

However, cancellation terms may vary according to the type of rate, which you have booked. Where a cancellation is not made in accordance with our applicable cancellation terms, we reserve the right to charge you the cancellation as levied by the individual hotel. Whilst every effort is made to fulfill any particular requests which you may have in relation to your bookings with us, we cannot unfortunately guarantee that we will be able to meet any particular requests which you may make and our failure in this regard will not constitute a breach of contract.

In the unlikely event that we have to change or cancel your reservation, we reserve the right to do so. However, you have the right to:

  • accept the changed arrangements as notified; or
  • make alternative arrangements with Target Tours; or
  • cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of any monies which you have paid to Target Tours in respect of your reservation (please note that we shall not be liable for any sums which you have paid to any other persons in connection with your reservation).
  • For the avoidance of doubt, we shall have no further liability to you for any changes to or the cancellation of any booking confirmed over the phone with any of our consultant.

Group Travel / Fix Departures

The cancellation for group movements will be entirely on case basis and to be confirmed with us before you make your confirmations.

Please also note that failure to arrive will incur a full cost of tour package and refunds will not be given for any day after the date of arrival has passed. The credit card charges (transaction fee) if applicable will be deducted in all the refunds.

Please note - Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs - incase of cancellation of tour / travel services after the booking is made with us - a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable. In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund. In case of special train journey (like Palace on Wheels, Royal Rajasthan on Wheels, Deccan Odyssey, Golden Chariot, Indian Maharaja & Maharajas Express) - a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which would be advised as and when required). For high peak season bookings (from 20th Dec to 15th Jan) - please note that if the booking for high peak season is/are cancelled, due to whatsoever reason, no refund would be made for said cancellation.
