Experience in Jaipur:

Dera Amer

Dera Amer is a sanctuary for animals: both domestic and wild. They aim to maintain an area of preserved wilderness and natural beauty whilst creating a sanctuary for animals to live and for humans to enjoy. This sanctuary is majorly famous for elephants. In our opinion it is a wonderful way to get to know these magnificent creatures in a caring environment and the experience is a very special one for many of our guests. Dera Amer is about a thirty-minute drive into the countryside from central Jaipur and is nestled within the Aravalli hills. As you arrive the camp and walk through the property’s arched gateway, you’re greeted by your elephant, to break the ice you will feed these elephants with some banana by your hand , then you will feed them with water. Later you are invited to make them bath and decorate their trunk with paint.  These paints are organic and water-solvent so there’s no risk of any irritation to your elephant. You would now head out for a trek through the surrounding dry forests, with a choice of riding her back or walking alongside your elephant. The elephant may take you through the village, fields, fortress and the other major scenery near the campsite. Return to the campsite for an appetizing dinner with live Barbeque. After dinner, you would then be chauffeured to your hotel in Jaipur for overnight stay.

1135 AD

1135AD is a fine Dining Experience in Jaipur. The name derives from the year in which the Kacchawaha clan founded the dynasty. It is situated in the majestic Amer Palace, the restaurant aims to make all its diners feel the royalty. The restaurant is divided into many sections like The Shahi Aangan which is centrally located and is an open air courtyard. The Swarna Mahal is the main restaurant and the Diwan E Khas is the boardroom for business meetings. For a private dining experience, entirely from silver and gold, dazzling with royalty we have The Sheesh Mahal, it has an old-world charm.  The cooks of 1135AD are trained by the royal cooks who have worked in the palaces and kept their recipes to themselves. Some recipes were passed on to their successors and the rest were passed on as skills to the chefs. They bring true culinary valour of the ‘Rajput Kingdom’. Flickering candles bring alive an era gone by Rajput valour, glory and grandeur- this is the essence of 1135 AD, Amber.

Dessert like the shahi tukda and rose ice cream are the speciality.

Private City Palace Tour

The City Palace Jaipur is impressive. A striking blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, it is a complex of courtyards, gardens, and buildings. This palace is still home to the last ruling royal family, which lives in a private section of the palace. It is right in the heart of the Old City, the majestic palace was originally built by Sawai Jai Singh in the 1720s and was enlarged and adapted over the centuries by his successors. It is said that the king himself planned and built the outer walls of the palace. The grid-like urban layout of the city and its structures, however, were creations of the architects Vidyadhar Bhattacharya and Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob along with the keen architectural enthusiast Sawai himself. Being a traditionalist with a keen eye for Western finesse and modernization, he instructed for a blend of both and the two architects skilfully incorporated a fusion of Indian architecture with Rajput, Mughal and European styles. The result is the exquisite City Palace and one would love to spend a lovely warm afternoon exploring its grandeur.
