Departure to Meknes via the Mamora forest, Volubilis and the holy city of Moulay Idriss. Continue to Fes. Visit the medina of Fes and lunch at Riad el Amine. Return to Rabat.
Head west to the imperial city and present-day capital, Rabat, a bustling city with many sights and a rich history. Discover the Hassan Tower, the minaret of an incomplete mosque, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V — a 12th-century project that was abandoned, leaving today the red sandstone tower and around 200 columns.
Nicknamed the Red City for its thousand-year-old red sandstone walls and buildings, Marrakech is a major economic centre. Visit the city, and as the evening progresses Marrakech comes alive with musicians and storytellers, acrobats and dancers, and even snake charmers. Wander the rows of food stalls serving everything from full meals to fruit drinks, dried dates and small snacks.
