There is a street market alongside the Godavari ghat, one can find a lot of local goods such as dried seafood, cow dung cakes and vegetables which are sold in the market. You will now drive through the Grover Zampa vineyards where you will see one of the amazing Indian wine producing vineyards and also a chance to notice the use of Shiraz, Chenin and the Chardonnay grapes for the use of making wine. Today the train enters in Aurangabad, also known as the industrial town of Maharashtra. The major attractions of Aurangabad includes Bibi-ka-Makbara, City’s 52 gates and the majestic Daulatabad Fort. Enjoy an appetizing breakfast in train and get ready to explore the beautiful Ellora Caves, also known as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Ellora Caves is a pure form of Buddhist teachings and religious art and architecture where you will find sculptures of Buddhist art, magnificent carvings and paintings. Day 4 Ajanta Caves

You will get a wonderful view of the surroundings as the Deccan Odyssey reaches the city of Kolhapur. After having your lunch on board you will be taken out for the City tour to Kolhapur. Your first attraction would be the beautiful New Palace Museum, which is a historic building and was constructed during 1877 - 1884. The museum has interesting collection of the jewellery, royal apparel, coins, weapons, silver elephant saddles and also one of the famous swords of Aurangzeb.

You can also read the letter from the British Viceroy and Governor General of India which are some of the famous collectibles. Pay a visit to Darbar Hall which is in the centre of the Palace and also the ambiance which has been created to display a glimpse of Maratha history. The Palace also consists of a Photo Gallery which has many interesting pictures of the Maharaja showing how to train a cheetah, elephant hunting and picture of maharaja with his hundredth dead tiger during hunting.

Your next attraction will be the famous Town Hall Museum of Kolhapur which has 2 European canons in the entrance which are evenly dated back to the 16th century. It also displays a variety of stone sculptures and relics, arm and war weapons, artefacts and paintings, etc. The town hall museum is constructed with Neo-gothic architecture. You will take a walk to some of the famous local markets of Kolhapur where you can find for yourself a pair of beautifully handcrafted chappals which are famous in the city of Kolhapur, also considered one of the major attractions of the city. Your high tea is arranged at an exclusive location while watching famous folk performance also termed as Lavanya Sandhya. You will then move towards the famous Mahalakshmi temple which is 1300 year old as also termed as the Shakti Pethas. The Mahalakshmi Temple is believed to be dedicated to Goddess Shakti, the consort of Lord Vishnu.

After the visit to the Mahalakshmi Temple, you will be moved out to witness a traditional martial arts performance which is also termed as the ‘Mardani Khel'. Day 6 Goa
Today morning you will be reaching at one of the most happening states of Goa where you will find the Portuguese culture, party overnight, food and drinks and a lot of lights. You will first visit the Latin Quarters in Panjim which has some well-restored houses built in complete Portuguese style of architecture. It is also considered to be one of the famous UNESCO World Heritage sites and you can explore the tradition, culture and also the art and architecture of this place.

Next move towards the Ribander, the erstwhile capital of Goa. You will be taken to some of the most amazing and old churches and ruins of St. Augustine tower. It was once believed to be the pride of Goa. The city is also famous for its beaches and also graffiti art and also football which has been adopted by most of the young players of the state.

Pay a visit to the Sahakari spice plantation to capture a traditional Goan feast which is a 400-year-old Portuguese delicacy. In this meal, you will be served with some delicious seafood as such kingfish, mackerel and shrimps . You will also be served with Feni, which is a famous alcoholic drink in Goa. Return back to the train by dinner time as it departs for Ratnagiri. Day 7 Ratnagiri
By day 7, you will arrive at Ratnagiri, which is located at a jagged island by the coast of Malvan. You will be provided with your breakfast and then go out to explore the holy town of Sindhudurg. You will get back to the Deccan Odyssey for lunch and then start with sightseeing activities. In evening you will return to the train, as the train now move toward its last destination Mumbai by next day morning. Day 8 Mumbai (Departure)

Day 1 Arrival in Delhi - Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore)
Assemble at New Delhi Railway Station to begin your Indian Odyssey tour aboard Deccan Odyssey. Savor your delicious dinner onboard as the train proceeds towards first destination which is Sawai Madhopur. Overnight onboard.
Day 2 Sawai Madhopur - Ranthambore National Park
Start your day with an onboard breakfast as the train arrives at Sawai Madhopur, which is famous for its major attraction that is the Ranthambore National Park. This National Park is considered to be one of the biggest, eco diversified and one of the most popular national parks of our country in the northern region.

The Ranthambore National Park is also a tiger reserve. There is a wide variety of flora and fauna that exhibits in this National Park. The famous birds and animals include the chinkara gazelles, antelope, leopard, crocodiles, chital, sambhar deer, jungle fowl, partridges, quails, flycatchers, crested serpent eagle, woodpeckers etc. Return to the train for a delicious breakfast. Later you can move out for a village tour where you can even interact with the locals. You will be then guided to the Sawai Madhopur Lodge where you will be served high tea. Day 3 Agra
The third day of the tour will take you to the City of Taj, Agra. Have an appetizing breakfast onboard. Get ready to be mesmerized by the magnificent Taj Mahal. The white marble mausoleum is considered to be built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Queen Mumtaz Mahal. It stands tall as one of the Seven Wonders of the World and is well known for its art and architectural style. The lunch is then arranged for you at an exclusive restaurant. Later visit Itimad–ud-Daulah was also known as the Baby Taj. You will also be traveling to explore one of the brightest forts also known as the Agra Fort. Day 4 Jaipur
The Pink City of India – Jaipur and the capital of Rajasthan, welcomes you. After having your breakfast you can move out to visit the Amber Fort. This fort is considered to be one of the star attractions of the city and also one of the UNESCO Heritage sites alongside the other Hill Forts of Rajasthan.

The Amber Fort was built by Maharaja Mansingh during the 17th century. Located on the heights of the Aravalli Hills covering a distance of 11 km from the Pink City-Jaipur. It also provides a pleasing glimpse of the Man Sagar Lake and the Nahargarh Hills around it. Up comes next is the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Jantar Mantar which make up the three major attractions in the Old City of Jaipur. City Palace was built between 1727 and 1732 by Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of the city of Jaipur, who also built the Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar. Lunch will be arranged at an exclusive restaurant in the city. Return back to the luxury train and have your dinner and stay overnight as train moves to next destination Udaipur.
Day 5 Udaipur
Today the train will arrive at the City of Lakes, Udaipur. The beautiful city of Udaipur is also known as the Venice of the East and is all famous for its drop-dead gorgeous Aravalli range and the charming lakes. Have a lip-smacking breakfast onboard, and get ready for a full day sightseeing tour of this city. The first stop will be the beautiful City Palace. Then a boat ride is organized in the Lake Pichola to reach the Jagmandir Palace. Lunch will be served hot with the essence of Tabla and the rhythm of Jal Tarang. Later in evening, you can go out for a heritage walk through the Old City of Udaipur. You will need to board the train by late evening and will be served dinner onboard as the train leaves for Vadodara. Stay onboard and sleep tight.
Day 6 Vadodara
Enjoy a hearty breakfast onboard. Get ready to explore this beautiful city. First visit the Champaner- Pavagadh Archeological Park which is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The city is the only unchanged and complete Islamic city in India which belongs to the Pre- Mughal Era. The site displays a largely unexcavated archeological, historic and living cultural heritage properties which are located in a very beautiful landscape. Later, you will visit the Jama Masjid or the Great Mosque. Return to the train for a delicious lunch.

Next visit the famous Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum, which is also known as the erstwhile educational institute for the children of the royal families. Your high tea is arranged at the Laxmi Vilas Palace. You will witness a variety of local street food and also a beautiful cultural show. Day 7 Aurangabad - Ellora Caves

Day 1 Mumbai
By evening 15:30 hours, guests are expected to arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus as the Deccan Odyssey awaits for the departure. Complete the registration and check-in formalities. You will have a grand royal and traditional welcome by the Deccan Odyssey staff which also includes a refreshing drink.

Later, you will be assigned your respective cabins. Guests are then requested to settle down and relax as the Deccan Odyssey will be all set to leave for its first destination Bijapur in Karnataka. An authentic dinner will be served onbard and overnight stay in the train.
Day 2 Bijapur
A bright morning with a delicious breakfast awaits you as the Deccan Odyssey enters the beautiful city of Bijapur. It is one of the most popular cities of Karnataka which was established by Kalyani Chalukyas between the 10th and the 11th century.

Bijapur is also known as the historic capital of Sultans of Deccan. It was famous for some of the most outstanding efforts of scholars, poets, painters, dancers, calligraphers, musicians and Sufi saints. The city of Bijapur was also known as the ‘Palmyra of the Deccan’. The first attraction to be covered is the Gol Gumbaz. It is a mausoleum built by Mohammed Adil Shah, the Sultan of Bijapur. It is believed to be the second largest tomb in the world. It is also designed with a ‘whispering gallery’ where even the softest sounds can be heard on the other side of the tomb regarding the decibels of the space.

The next attraction you will visit is the Jama Masjid, one of the oldest mosques of India and is the largest in southern India. It was built in year 1578 by Ali Adil Sha. The Jama Masjid Tomb is one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture. Pay a visit to the majestic Bijapur Fort and the Malikah–E-Jahan mosque.

After a long historic day tour, return to the train where lunch will be served. The train will further head towards Aihole and Pattadakal by late evening. Dinner and overnight stay onboard.
Day 3 Aihole & Pattadkal
Today after a healthy breakfast, you will visit the holy shrines and architectural attractions of Aihole and Pattadakal by the morning of the third day. The main attractions are some of the most beautiful temples built by the Chalukyan Kings. In Pattadakal, you can find South Indianand North Indian architectural styles such as the Kadsiddheshwar temple, the Galaganatha temple , the Chandrashekhara temple.

Return back to the train and have a delicious lunch onboard. Later you can also experience some of the exciting temple art and architecture, some of the major stone art in temples are Sangameshwara Temple, the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the Mallikarjuna Temple, the Virupaksha Temple, the Papanatha Temple and the Jain Narayana Temple. Shiva shrines are also found here depicting the importance of Hindu rituals.

Aihole also consists of many magnificent monuments which are also located in Karnataka. The Aihole sites preserve some of the oldest Buddhist and jain monuments and importantly 120 Hindu monuments dated back from the 4th to 12th century. Some of the major Hindu monuments located in Aihole are the the Ravana Phadi cave, Durga Temple, the Jyotirlinga temples, Hucchappayya matha, the Mallikarjuna temples, the Ramalinga temples, the Galaganatha temples, the Maddin temples and the Triyambakeswara temples.

You can opt out to visit all such temples for a short duration or you can go ahead for a short trip to an amazing weaving village of Guledgudda. You can also learn the weaving process in the village. Or you can also move out to Badami to enjoy sightseeing tours and to explore the beautiful sculptured temples and the rock-cut caves. Return to the train for dinner and night stay onboard Deccan Odyssey. By late evening the train moves to a new destination Hampi.
Day 4 Hampi
Today morning you will be reaching Hampi, which is one of the most known World Heritage Site. After an appetizing breakfast, get ready to explore some of the most amazing creations of ancient monuments and structures. The first visit will be to the most important attraction of Hampi, the Lakshmi Narasimha statue. It is considered to be one of the most delicate structures which were found in the ruined town of Hampi. located on the southern side of the Hemakuta hill.

You can also visit some of the temples such as the Virupaksha Temple which is the oldest shrine and is one of the major destinations for pilgrimage and tourists. The Krishna Temple which is also termed as the Balakrishna temple, located south of the Virupaksha Temple is also an important Hindu temple. You can also eye the Vitthala temple which is one of the most sophisticated with art and architectural forms of temples in Hampi. There are also some remains of inscriptions in this temple.

Return to the train for a delicious lunch. Later you have the craze for monuments and ancient structures, you can also take charge to visit the Hemakuta hill monuments, the Hazara Rama Temple, the Kodandarama temple and the riverside monuments, the Pattabhirma temple. First you will visit the magnificent Golconda, which is a citadel and also a fort situated 11 km west of Hyderabad. Next you visit the Charminar which is a monument and a mosque built in 1591 and is located in Hyderabad. It is listed as a global icon of Hyderabad. Later move toward Ramoji Film City located in Hyderabad which is spread across 2000 acres and is considered to be the largest integrated film city in Telangana.

Your next stop will be the Chowmahalla, it is a palace of the Nizams of Hyderabad. It was the official residence or the royal home of the Nizams of Hyderabad. Day 2 Aurangabad (Ellora Caves)
Today morning this luxury train enters Aurangabad which was named after the Great Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. The city of Aurangabad is renowned for its rich art and architectural styles and is also known for various Mughal architectural gems. After an appetizing breakfast, Get ready for a full day sightseeing tour of the city.

First visit the famous UNESCO World Heritage site of Ellora Caves, which is also known for the famous Caves art and temple architecture. Inside the Ellora Caves, there are 34 rock-cut caves which are all dedicated to different religions such as Jainism, Buddhism and Hinduism. There is also a presence of some of the finest sculptures and art formations around the Ellora Caves. The next stop will be the majestic Daulatabad Fort which is situated on top of a hill. The Daulatabad Fort was constructed in the 12th century and this fort is well known for various well-known structures such as the Chini Mahal, Jama Masjid, Elephant Tank, Chand Minar and lots more. Day 3 Aurangabad
The third day of the tour starts with a mouth-watering breakfast served on board, you will be then guided for sightseeing at Aurangabad. First, you will be guided to Bibi-Ka-Maqbara. The mausoleum was built for Dilras Banu, Emperor Aurangzeb’s beloved wife. The mausoleum is also known as the ‘Taj of the Deccan’ which was built by her son Prince Azam Shah. The next visit is followed by one of the most well-known weaving centres also famous for its connection with Aurangabad's royalty by the 14th century. Lunch will be served in train. Day 4 Ramtek (Pench National Park)
On the fourth day of your itinerary, the train arrives at Ramtek. Today get excited to visit the famous Pench National Park. It is well known for an adventurous activity so-called Rafting, and has also received the Best Management Award in the year 2011. The National Park is followed by the Pench River and it is also one of the biggest Tiger Reserve. The National Park is rich in flora and fauna and have an amazing aquatic life. Some of the famous animals you can find here are Nilgai, Tiger, Wild Dog, Wild Pig, Sambar, Gaur and lots more.

The National Park of Pench is also a home for 285 different varieties of birds which includes ospreys, pied hornbills, pied hornbills, Indian pitas, grey-headed fishing eagles, white head buzzards, storks, vultures and waterfowl. By the end of the wildlife trip, the guests can head back to the luxury train and have brunch on the Deccan Odyssey. Dinner will be served on board and overnight stay on the Deccan Odyssey. Day 5 Tadoba
Early morning on the 5th day, you will arrive at enters Chandrapur Station. The day continues with a wildlife safari at the Tadoba National Park and also a Tiger Reserve. It is also known as the Jewel of Vidharba. The National Park of Tadoba is also famous for housing a healthy population of some of the Big cats. The guests will be guided for an early morning safari where one can spot an immense variety of wildlife including sloth bears, tigers, leopards, wild dogs, deer species, spotted cats, wild pigs and also leopards. Day 6 Jalgaon – Ajanta Caves
By day 6 of the tour, the luxurious Deccan Odyssey reached the Jalgaon Station. After a quick breakfast session, get ready to discover the World Heritage Site of the Ajanta Caves. The Ajanta Caves is one of the best examples of rock-cut cave temple architecture in India. There are a total of 30 rock-cut caves which are dedicated to Hinduism and Buddhism at the Ajanta Caves. One of the finest examples of cave sculptures across the whole country. The guests will also find some of the most amazing paintings, carvings, religious art and sculptures which are dedicated to Buddhism and Hinduism. After the tour to the Ajanta Cave end, head back to the train where you will be served the lunch onboard as the train starts to proceed towards next destination on circuit Nashik – The Wine Capital of India.

Day 7 Nashik
On the seventh day of your itinerary the train enters the ‘Wine Capital of India’ – Nashik. The city of Nashik is also known as of the holy cities of India. Enjoy a healthy breakfast on the train and you can roll out to take a pleasant walk along the banks of the River Godavari. You can even witness some of the varies Hindu rituals which are performed along the ghats of the River Godavari.

Later you can explore a popular vineyard where you can grab an opportunity to look at some of the special varieties of grapes such as the Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Chenin. You will also learn about the age-old methods of sparkling wine production in India. Later, you will be served some of the finest white wine, red wine, rose wine and the sparkling wine by the sommelier. Lunch is arranged at an exclusive restaurant. Day 8 Mumbai (Departure)

Day 1 Mumbai (Arrival)
The journey to the Hidden Treasures of Gujarat will start from Mumbai. Assemble at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus by 15:30 hours. The guests will then be welcomed with a traditional outlay and also be served with a refreshing drink. Clear all the formalities regarding check-in and other formalities. After the registration part is over, the guests will be escorted to their respective cabins. Day 2 Vadodara

The city is the only unchanged and complete Islamic city in India which belongs to the Pre- Mughal Era. The site displays a largely unexcavated archeological, historic and living cultural heritage properties which are located in a very beautiful landscape. Later, you will visit the Jama Masjid or the Great Mosque. Return to the train for a delicious lunch. Next visit the famous Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum, which is also known as the erstwhile educational institute for the children of the royal families. Day 3 Palitana
Palitana is in the state of Gujarat and is a well-known pilgrimage spot. After the delicious breakfast, the guests will be guided to the famous Jain temples, located on a hilltop in a group of 900. The temples will serve you with the company of Jain Tirthankaras at the first half of the day. Return to the train for a delicious lunch as the tran rolls down towards Sasan Gir which is the home of Asiatic Lions. Dinner and stay overnight on board.
Day 4 Sasan Gir (Somnath)
After an appetizing Breakfast, the train arrives at Sasan Gir, where the guests will be guided to an early morning tour to Sasan Gir (Gir Forest National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary). This wildlife sanctuary is the only home for Asiatic lions in India. . The Gir National Park is also famous for birds view. Your lunch is arranged at an exclusive restaurant with tribal dance show. Day 5 Little Rann of Kutch
Today morning on the fifth day of your itinerary you will arrive in Rann of Kutch. After a delicious breakfast onboard, get ready for a guided tour towards the marshy salt desert of Rann of Kutch. The Little Rann of Kutch is one of the most attractive destinations of India. Later you will take a jeep safari tour where the guests can visit the Wild Ass Sanctuary. The Rann of Kutch is the home for hugely populated Indian Wild Asses. A large variety of birds can also be witnessed in the Wild Ass Sanctuary. Lunch is arranged at the Rann Riders Safari Resort. Day 6 Modhera (Patan)
Patan is an old fortified town of the 8th century which is well known for its lakes, holy places, forts and also a world heritage sites. The Deccan Odyssey arrives the historic town of Patan by early morning. After a delicious breakfast onboard, get ready for a sightseeing tour of this city. First attraction you will visit is the temple of Modhera. The temple of Modhera is dedicated to the Sun God. It is built with sandstone and considered to be an architectural masterpiece. There are magnificent carvings inside the temple complex consisting of more than 108 beautiful shrines. Next move towards the Rani Ki Vav which is also a World Heritage Site. This is termed to be a step well which was built in the 11th century which is the biggest in Gujarat and is a perfect example of the subterranean well architecture. The guests will also get an opportunity to visit the traditional home of Patola sarees in Gujarat. Return back to the luxury train for lunch. Day 7 Nashik
Today morning the train enters the holy city of Nashik. Enjoy your luscious breakfast on board and then get excited to walk down through the Godavari Ghats. You will get mesmerized by seeing various Hindu rituals and traditions performed in the Godavari Ghat. There is a street market alongside the Godavari ghat, one can find a lot of local goods such as dried seafood, cow dung cakes and vegetables which are sold in the market. Have a lip-smacking breakfast onboard, and get ready for a full day sightseeing tour of this city. The first stop will be the beautiful City Palace. Then a boat ride is organized in the Lake Pichola to reach the Jagmandir Palace. Lunch will be served hot with the essence of Tabla and the rhythm of Jal Tarang.

Later in evening, you can go out for a heritage walk through the Old City of Udaipur. You will need to board the train by late evening and will be served dinner onboard as the train leaves for Jodhpur. Stay onboard and sleep tight.
Day 4 Jodhpur
By the 4th day, the train enters the Sun City of Rajasthan – Jodhpur. It is the former capital of the Marwar Kingdom and also famous for its attachment with the Thar Desert and features some of the most beautiful temples, forts, and palaces. You will be served breakfast on board and a relaxing day will be ahead of which the guests can also make a visit to a luxury hotel for a spa session or you can also visit the famous Bishnoi tribal village. to take a vivid look into the rural lifestyle of the people who reside in these villages. Return to the train for a delectabl breakfast.

Now get excited to visit the breathtaking Mehrangarh Fort, which is situated in amongst the brown sands of the Thar. It is considered to be one of India's largest forts which were built by Rao Jodha in the year 1459 on a hill which is 150 meters in height. A part of the Fort is now turned to be a museum which comprises of royal palanquins, paintings, armory, costumes, personal belongings of the royal family and more A tour to the city is also included where the guests can involve in the insights of the markets as well as the Old Clock Tower and also the astounding havelis. The white marble mausoleum is considered to be built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Queen Mumtaz Mahal. Later visit Itimad–ud-Daulah was also known as the Baby Taj. You will also be traveling to explore one of the brightest forts also known as the Agra Fort. Return to your train and have a delicious dinner followed by overnight stay.
Day 6 Sawai Madhopur
Start your day with an onboard breakfast as the train arrives at Sawai Madhopur, which is famous for its major attraction that is the Ranthambore National Park. This National Park is considered to be one of the biggest, eco diversified and one of the most popular national parks of our country in the northern region. The Ranthambore National Park is also a tiger reserve. There is a wide variety of flora and fauna that exhibits in this National Park. The famous birds and animals include the chinkara gazelles, antelope, leopard, crocodiles, chital, sambhar deer, jungle fowl, partridges, quails, flycatchers, crested serpent eagle, woodpeckers etc.

Return to the train for a delicious breakfast. Later you can move out for a village tour where you can even interact with the locals. You will be then guided to the Sawai Madhopur Lodge where you will be served high tea. The Sawai Madhopur Lodge is considered to be the royal hunting ground for the erstwhile royal family of Jaipur. Dinner and overnight stay onbard, as the train heads for its next destination Jaipur.
Day 7 Jaipur
The Pink City of India – Jaipur and the capital of Rajasthan, welcomes you. After having your breakfast you can move out to visit the Amber Fort. This fort is considered to be one of the star attractions of the city and also one of the UNESCO Heritage sites alongside the other Hill Forts of Rajasthan. The Amber Fort was built by Maharaja Mansingh during the 17th century. Located on the heights of the Aravalli Hills covering a distance of 11 km from the Pink City-Jaipur. It also provides a pleasing glimpse of the Man Sagar Lake and the Nahargarh Hills around it. Up comes next is the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Jantar Mantar which make up the three major attractions in the Old City of Jaipur. City Palace was built between 1727 and 1732 by Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of the city of Jaipur, who also built the Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar. Lunch will be arranged at an exclusive restaurant in the city. Return back to the luxury train and have your dinner and stay overnight as train moves to last destination New Delhi.
Day 8 New Delhi (Departure)
On the last day of the Deccan Odyssey tour, you will return back to the capital city of India, New Delhi. Breakfast will be served on board and the guests need to bid farewell to the Deccan Odyssey at the Delhi Cantt Railway Station.
