Day 1: Arrival at Malta

Welcome to Malta! On arrival at Malta International Airport, meet the Target Tours India team and transfer by private vehicle to your selected hotel. Check-in with our assistance. The rest of the day is free for you to settle in and unwind — enjoy dinner in the surrounding area, with restaurants serving traditional Indian cuisine available nearby. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Valletta & the Three Cities

Breakfast at the hotel. Begin the day with a guided tour of Valletta, the fortified capital built by the Knights of St John in 1566 and today a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Co-Cathedral of St John the Baptist, richly adorned from the time of the Knights of Malta and home to two paintings by the Italian Renaissance master Caravaggio. Walk through the narrow historic streets and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Grand Harbour from the Upper Barrakka Gardens. Take the lift down to the harbour and cross to the Three Cities aboard a traditional Maltese dghajsa boat (subject to weather). Visit Birgu (Vittoriosa) with the Inquisitor's Palace and St Laurence Church, then drive through the medieval Three Cities — Vittoriosa, Cospicua and Senglea — and along the Cottonera Line, stopping at Senglea for spectacular harbour views. Free time for lunch and dinner in local restaurants. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Malta South & Central – Blue Grotto, Marsaxlokk & Mdina

Breakfast at the hotel. Head south to the megalithic temples of Haġar Qim, among the oldest free-standing monuments in the world, set on a hill with views of the sea and the islet of Filfla. Continue to the Blue Grotto viewpoint, famous for its crystal-clear waters and dramatic sea caves (an optional boat tour may be arranged, weather permitting). Pass through vineyards to the fishing village of Marsaxlokk, with its harbour of colourful luzzu boats and lively main square. After free time for lunch, drive to Rabat for a short walking tour and a visit to St Paul's Grotto and the historic catacombs, then on to Mdina, the medieval “Silent City,” where narrow streets lead to the Cathedral of St Paul and the bastion walls that overlook almost the whole island. Free time for dinner in local restaurants. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Ferry to Gozo

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the north of Malta and take the ferry to the island of Gozo, arriving at the harbour of Mgarr after a scenic 20-minute crossing. Gozo is greener and quieter than Malta, with more than four thousand years of history. Visit the parish church at Xewkija, the megalithic Temples of Ggantija, and Victoria — the capital of Gozo — with its hilltop Citadella and Cathedral. Free time for lunch in Victoria's shaded restaurant terraces or by the salt pans of Marsalforn. In the afternoon, continue to Dwejra with its inland sea, and to the beautiful Sanctuary of Ta’ Pinu. Return to Malta by ferry and back to the hotel by bus. Free time for dinner in local restaurants. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out and transfer to Malta International Airport with assistance from the Target Tours India team, three hours before departure. We assist you until check-in. End of our services.
