Penang is both an island and a province which is stretched on the north western coast of Malaysia. It is famous for its soft sandy beaches is known as the food capital of Malaysia. It was the first colonial hill station developed in Peninsular Malaysia discovered soon after British settlement. The hill is located six km away from Georgetown.The area was cleared to grow strawberries and know the top of the hill is known as Strawberry hill. Kek Lok SiKek Lok Si is the largest Buddhist temple built in 1890 by Beow Lean. The whole complex is divided into three section. The middle section includes temples, garden and the pagoda. The temple comprises a series of prayer halls, temples, beautiful landscape garden and monasteries. The 10 acres land was purchased in and 1893 and the initial structure was built He Shan. The temple was also known as “temple of supreme bliss”.
Langkawi also known as a jewel of Kedah, is perfect for island living. It has a laid-back atmosphere that makes it different from other cities of Malaysia. The city is famous for its natural scenery and pretty beaches. There are few places that are must visit before leaving the island. Some of the most popular attraction are as follows: Cable CarLangkawi’s cable car is one of the major tourist attraction which will take you to the top pf Mat Cincang Mountain. It is a 15 minutes ride which offer you scenic view of rainforest, waterfalls, islets and other tourist spots of Langkawi. The peak is set at a height of 708m allowing you enjoy the cool breeze and a panoramic view of the city. Langkawi Sky BridgeLangkawi Sky Bridge is located at the end of cable car , it is a 124 meter-long curved pedestrian bridge that offers a terrifying but splendid aerial view of a number of popular attraction of Langkawi. Standing at an altitude of 2300 ft above the sea level you can relax and enjoy the cool breeze. The sky bridge can be accessed only through the Cable Car. It can accommodate approximately 250 people at one stretch.
